Rabat is the current capital city of Morocco located at the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the four Imperial Cities. There are beautiful blue and white painted houses inside the Kasbah of the Udayas. The Hassan Tower is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat. Begun in 1195, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret (world) along with the mosque. In 1199, Sultan Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the third Caliph of Almohad Caliphate, died and construction on the mosque stopped. The tower is in about 44m, about half of its intended 86m height.
