The Hoge Brug (Maastrichtian dialect: Hoeg Brögk) is a pedestrian and cycle bridge that spans the Meuse in Maastricht. The high bridge was designed by René Greisch architects from Liège and was awarded with the 'Staalprijs' in 2004 (Stichting Bouwen met Staal). The length is 261m and the highest point of the arch is 26m. The only disadvantage is the ‘lazy staircase’ construction, which is practically a nightmare.
