The Dominican Church is a Gothic church built in the 13th century. It served as a monastery church for the Order of Preachers or Dominicans till the end of the 18th century. Nowadays, the Dominican Church is a national monument and a cool bookstore. The British newspaper The Guardian proclaimed it as 'the most beautiful bookstore in the world' (2008). In addition, CNN published a list of the 18 'coolest' bookshops of the world (Dominicanen 7th place, 2015).
