Trinidad is a small town in central Cuba and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988. Trinidad was founded in 1514 by Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar (he governed Cuba on behalf of Spain) and is one of the best-preserved cities in the Caribbean from the time when the sugar trade was the main industry.
